A Peek Inside My Glass Studio

by Bonnie Perry on May 2, 2008

My Glass PaletteHere’s a quick peek inside my glass studio.

My pallet.

Sometimes the colors mesmerize me, and I  just sit and gaze at my glass for inspiration.

There  are so many choices.

Do I want to:

work with opaque or transluscent glass?

let the colors speak or the design?

work on meticulous detail?

layer colors?

add silver foul or dichroic glass?

Am I feeling light-hearted and whimsical or more dramatic?

The list goes on and on and keeps my glass life vibrant, everchanging and always exciting.

This is great. I love seeing all the glass rods, so tempting to want to reach in and start working. That is an incentive to work! Paint in tubes doesn’t cut it by comparison.
by the way, the Clever Hand is lovely and the location couldn’t be better.
Good luck!

Thanks Dona for your comments and suggestions.
Don’t you just love color? I’ll add a picture of my torch area and work table soon.

Great photos. Your combination of strong images and natural writing make this a terrific way of sharing your work as an artist. Now that you’ve added Twitter and are thinking of podcasting, there will be no stopping you!
